NIGHTBIRDS
The Nightbirds were a Swiss combo that recorded the first single in March 1966 for the Italian EMI, "La Strada Bianca" written by Mario Del Don that went directly to the Swiss Hit Parade to the 8th position. In that period the band beggins an intense activity. They turn to professional status, touring in Switzerland, Italy, France, Germany and recorded three more singles at EMI.
They played in several important Clubs in Swiss and Italy like Blow Up, Pony and Volkshaus in Zurich.
The repertoire goes from Beatles, Yardbirds, Kinks, Rolling Stones, Pretty Things, The Who, Spencer Davies.
They always used on stage the famous "Vox a.c.30" and "Vox a.c.50 "Vox guitars and Ludwig drums with the famous kind of Bat logo of the band in the kick drum front.
For the first time reissued on LP all the tracks from the 45rpm Singles recorded by the band in the 1960's.
Quelli or Alla Resa Dei Conti are some of the best tunes made by an Italian/Swiss band in the 60's.
